An Employment Agency in Tualatin, OR is Discussing Tips on How to Dress for Interviews

What to wear for an interview is a question asked most often by candidates coming to Express Tualatin for open positions. The employment agency understands the stress of knowing what to wear can be overwhelming and would like to help by providing tips on interview attire below.

Tip 1: Know the company you are interviewing with.

How well do you know the company that you are interviewing with? Do you know what the atmosphere of the office is like, or what the job duties will entail? It is important to make yourself familiar with the answer to these questions, as they can help provide direction on how to dress for your interview. Start by looking at the client’s social media page. Here you can usually find photos and videos of current employees; this will help you know the day-to-day attire of the job. Once you or aware of the attire worn daily in the office, then dress one level above this for your interview.

Tip 2: Details are important

Having a polished look is extremely important during an interview, and this look can be achieved by making sure every detail is cared for. Make sure to iron each piece of clothing neatly the night before. It is also important to look for any rips or stains. If you do find any rips or stains, then you should select another item to wear. It is also important to make sure your clothes fit you well, and they are not too big or too small.

Tip 3: Simplicity is key

The goal is for the interviewer to focus on you, not what you are wearing. Therefore, simplicity is key when it comes to selecting items to wear. Go easy on the makeup and jewelry, stick with simple patterns and neutral colors, all of which will avoid distracting the interview.

Finally, remember to have fun! We know finding employment can be a stressful process, but an interview is your time to talk about yourself and show off your amazing skills. So, let your personality shine and have fun with it!
